A Greater Yes

What would you do when faced with great adversity in your life? Think of yourself? Or think of others? Philippians 2:4 tells us that we are not to look at our own interests, but look at the interests of others. We are to be caring and concerned about people.

A Greater Yes is based on the true story of Amy Newhouse. This film gives a great example of how someone facing death responded not by thinking of herself, but thinking of others. Amy's words and activities affected lives. Her character is that of one that it totally selfless and thinking of God's interests, not her own.

In Amy, we see one that is committed to prayer. We see how she genuinely reflects and knows that God is going to meet her needs. Philippians 4:6 tells us that we are not be anxious or worried about anything. Instead we are to pray about everything. In every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks.

Even though Amy's light was going out, it was still shining, just as Matthew 5:16 instructs us to do. She was shining her light her to others, displaying good works to all me, glorifying her Father who was in heaven.
