God's Not Dead

One of the better Christian movies I've seen lately describes God's Not Dead. It has an excellent cast, intriguing characters, and a plot that is "real world" happening right now. This movie is very relevant to what is happening on college campuses today.

Christians having our faith challenged and having to defend our beliefs is just as common today as it was 2000 years ago. 2 Peter 3:3 tell us that in these last days, scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 2 Peter 3:5 says that they will deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed.

If you watch this movie and think this plot if far-fetched, think again. Pay close attention to the closing credits of God's Not Dead. Case after case is listed where Christian students stood up to the prevailing indoctrination toward atheism on campus. Specific court cases with names and colleges are detailed where campus religious groups have argued their First Amendment rights have been infringed upon. These cases have been successfully won by the legal group Alliance Defending Freedom. Their website is found here.

God's Not Dead is a very enjoyable movie. Just be sure to watch the closing credits. It just may surprise you to see the battles that Christians have faced on college campuses.
