Peace River
Peace River is a powerful movie. I could not imagine a more difficult experience than the lead character went through.
Themes of love, family, country, and commitment are part of this film. Great scenes and beautiful sunsets make for a picturesque film. Although there is a boy-girl love story component, the aftermath of 9/11 and the United States forces going into Afghanistan, is part of the movie, too.
Coming out of your personal darkness and coming to the Light (God) is a strong component of this film.
Psalm 18:28 tells us that God turns our darkness into Light. God will provide clarity and direction, if you turn to him during the darkness of difficult circumstances.
