The Woodcarver

The Woodcarver is a film about second chances. It's a film that shows what does and doesn't make families successful. It's true to life as to what role God should play in our families, marriage, and lives.

One of the main characters deals with grief. As Ecclesiastes 3:4 tells us, there will be times we will mourn. I thought the film was true to life in showing how one might deal with the loss of a loved one.

The other plot lines dealt with a crumbling marriage as well as a rebellious youth. What you see in the movie is that the characters helped each other through their struggles. And true to real life, that's the way God operates. In our brokenness, we can indeed help others, as they help us, and ultimately God helps us when we put our trust in Him.
