Unsung Hero
"To live out your dream requires hard work and sacrifice". That is the fundamental principle I took away from the movie "Unsung Hero".
Based on the true story of David Smallbone and his family, the movie is one of perseverance, sucking it up in the hard times, and doing what's necessary to support your family. Sometimes you can be on top of the world, but financial hardship can happen. You lose everything. But you must pull yourself up by your bootstraps and press on. Pray, trust God.
Be sure to stick around and watch the closing credits to see where all the Smallbone children are today. It's amazing to see how each child has become a success in their chosen field today.
Proverbs 10:4 tells us the idle and lazy hand makes one poor, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth. David Smallbone and his life epitomize this concept in "Unsung Hero".
